Paul Anthony Hignett from Rhostyllen denies abusing child in the 1990s
A man appeared in court today to face 14 charges of sexually abusing a child.
Paul Anthony Hignett, of Station Road, Rhostyllen, appeared at Wrexham Magistrates this morning to hear the allegations.
During a short hearing, 62 year-old Hignett, dressed in a brown jacket and dark trousers, denied the charges.
They were alleged to have happened between 1994 and 1999.
Prosecuting Kevin Challinor argued the case was too serious to be heard at the magistrates and defending Melissa Griffiths agreed.
Magistrates sent the case to be heard at Mold Crown Court on April 21.
Hignett was released on conditional bail.
