The 48-hour blitz saw officers act on intelligence and tip-offs from the public
Police have arrested 62 people across Swansea, Neath and Port Talbot in a 48-hour blitz on suspects.
Those picked-up were wanted in connection with a range of offences including making threats to kill, assault, indecency, burglary, drugs matters, theft and harassment.
The operation saw teams of officers acting on intelligence and tip-offs from the public swooping on addresses across Swansea Bay.
The crackdown also included roads policing officers, mounted units, council trading standards departments, and revenue and customs staff.
One of the swoops included a raid on an address in Neath connected to allegations of child sexual exploitation and drug supply.
South Wales Police inspector Mark Brier, who co-ordinated the operation, said the force’s search for suspects “never stops”.
He said: “It is important that people wanted in connection with ongoing investigations – especially those who are responsible for committing crimes – are not free to roam our streets.
“Our search for suspects never stops - anybody responsible for committing crimes in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot can be sure that it’s only a matter of time before their actions come back to haunt them.
“With the public’s help, we can ensure those responsible for crimes are put before a court.”
