A WOMAN on her way home from work in the dark was confronted by a heavily bearded man who told her "you don't know what I could do to you love."
Nia Lloyd, prosecuting at a weekend court at Llandudno, explained that 56-year-old Darren Liptrott of Merseybank, Manchester had told her not to shine a light at him.
She had returned to the care home where she worked at Felinheli and later her husband had collected her.
Mrs Lloyd said the woman had told police: "The whole incident left me feeling scared and vulnerable."
It happened on Thursday and defence barrister Dafydd Roberts said Liptrott, who was unemployed, was making his way to Ireland and had not been in trouble since 1996.
“It was an unpleasant incident but a low level matter and sentencing powers are limited to a financial penalty,” he added.
Liptrott, who pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months. He must pay £50 compensation to the woman and costs of £105.
