From a laser attack on an air ambulance helicopter to a violent street mugging and the theft of a large number of Swansea City shirts, here are nine unsolved crimes police need your help with
Flying doctors targeted in laser attack
On Guy Fawkes night last year the crew of a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter were targeted by a commercial-strength laser as they flew over Swansea.
The pilot of the aircraft managed to protect his eyes and keep control of the chopper but a doctor onboard was temporarily blinded by the brilliant green light.
Police believe the laser beam was shone at the helicopter from the Townhill area of the city at around 7.30pm.
Given the strength of the beam and the height the helicopter was flying - some 2,500ft - police believe the attack was carried out using a commercial-strength laser rather than a domestic laser pen.
Speaking at the time, Wales Air Ambulance chief executive Angela Hughes said: “This could have been catastrophic. People get laser burns to their eyes and are blinded for life.
"It is beyond belief how anyone thinks it is clever to do this. Someone set out deliberately to try to disable our aircraft.”
