POLICE hailed another success in its war against drugs after more arrests were made in Bangor.
Three people - a Bangor man and woman, and Llangefni man all aged in their 40s - were arrested on Tuesday afternoon after being stopped and searched in the Holyhead Road area of the town.
They were interviewed and released on bail to allow officers time to complete their investigations.
They were arrested for misuse of Drugs Act offences and money laundering.
District Inspector Owain Llewellyn at Bangor Police Station said: "Our commitment in keeping our communities safe remains a priority and yesterday’s arrests under Operation Rattle is just part of that process and further arrests will follow.
"Shortly after 3.20pm yesterday plain clothes officers in the Holyhead Road area of Bangor stopped, checked and searched three people.
"All were found to be in possession of what we believe to be Class A controlled drugs and were arrested.
"Equally importantly we have removed from our streets and seized, and will ultimately destroy,  a quantity of controlled drugs”
Insp Llewellyn added: “Our focus of targeting those few in our communities who cause the most harm will continue.
"‘Operation Rattle’ is an on-going investigation targeting those who bring controlled drugs into Gwynedd and Mon from outside north Wales
"We are determined to keep our communities safe."
