TWO men have made off with cash after a robbery at a Rhyl convenience store.
Just before 11pm last night (November 5) police received a report of a robbery at the One Stop Shop on Grange Road.
One man remained by the entrance to the shop while the other offender, who had his face covered, entered the store where it is believed he threatened staff and demanded money.
Once in possession of cash both men then fled on foot towards Rhyl town centre.
Nobody was injured during the incident.
Detective Inspector Iwan Roberts of St Asaph CID said: “We are urging anyone who was in the vicinity of the store before the offence and saw anything suspicious or who believes they may have seen the two men to please get in touch with us.
“Crime Scene Investigators and CID officers are attending the scene and enquiries are continuing this morning. I appeal to anyone who has information to please contact us on 101 quoting reference number S170257."
Officers attended along with members of the dog section and searched the area but the search proved negative.
Police are keeping an 'open mind' as to whether the incident is linked to a robbery at the One Stop Shop on Rhuddlan Road, Rhyl on October 25.
Enquiries into that incident are ongoing
