A LARGE quantity of industrial fireworks have been stolen from Towyn.
Police are appealing for information after the fireworks were stolen from a shuttered kiosk on Towyn Road sometime overnight on November 2.
Police say the fireworks could be 'lethal' if not handled by professionals.
PC 2939 Gareth Jones said: “The offender/s entered the kiosk by forcing the shutters open.
"Due to the size of the boxes, we believe that a van would have been used to remove them.”
He added: “These are industrial fireworks which should only be handled by a professional and could be lethal in the wrong hands.”
A large amount of chocolate was also taken from inside the kiosk during the burglary.
Anyone with information relating to the incident or anyone who may know of someone selling fireworks and chocolate, either on the street or on social media, is asked to call Sgt Andrea Verburg or the Neighbourhood Policing Team at Abergele Police Station on 101.
Alternatively, contact the control room direct via the new web live chat facility or call
Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
