A woman who stabbed her own mother in the head at her home has been spared jail.
Rhian Robinson, 32, admitted knifing Cheryl Robinson at her home in Pontardawe after coming back from a family shopping trip.
Mother Rhian grabbed a 12-inch carving knife from her kitchen after hearing voices in her head in April this year.
Her 11-year-old daughter twice grabbed the knife from out of her hands - but couldn't hold her mother at bay.

Cheryl, 63, suffered puncture wounds to her arms, scalp and torso during the assault at Pontardawe, Swansea.

The wounded grandmother suffered "serious and potentially life threatening injuries" and was taken by air ambulance to Morriston Hospital.
But the doting mother survived and a court heard "she wants to get back to normal in her life and she loves her daughter very much."
Recorder Eleri Rees said: "This is a particularly tragic case in many respects.
"Clearly this must have been a horrific incident with particular concern that this was witnessed by an 11-year-old.
"It was very shocking and one must have grave concerns for the memories this will leave with that child.
"But clearly if the defendant wasn't suffering from mental illness this wouldn't have taken place."
Prosecutor Michael Jones told the court that on April 14 this year Rhian stabbed her mother after returning from a shopping trip in Pontardawe High Street.
He said: "When Cheryl walked into the hallway she could hear shouting.
"As she walked she could see the defendant sitting on the stairs with her daughter. She could hear her saying "stab, kill, knife."
The court was told that Cheryl and her granddaughter tried to keep the kitchen door closed to stop Rhian from coming out with a knife.
But the mother-of-one overpowered the two girls - and stabbed Cheryl on her back and arms.
In a statement read out to court Cheryl said: "I was scared as I didn't recognise my daughter. Her eyes and mouth seemed black."
Rhian, of Pontardawe, pleaded guilty to one count of wounding with intent during an earlier hearing at Cardiff Crown Court.
After her arrest she was transferred into the care of Glanrhyd Hospital in Bridgend under the Mental Health Act.
Ms Rees sentenced her to a hospital order after a psychologist told the court she was making good progress in hospital.
Dr Shuja Reagu said: "Her psychosis and schizophrenia has responded to well to treatment but she is still in the process of recovery and is still not completely resolved."
