Llandudno,North Wales - Six arrests in Conwy drug crackdown by police

Officers raided three properties in the town of Conwy and two in Llandudno

Six people have been arrested in a drug crackdown by North Wales Police.
Officers raided five properties, three in Conwy and two in Llandudno this morning.
In Conwy police found suspected controlled drugs and cash and arrested a local man in his 20s.
He is being held on suspicion of possessing Class B controlled drugs with intent to supply and money laundering.
In Llandudno no drugs were recovered in either raid however a man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of entering the country illegally.
He will be interviewed by immigration officials, according to a statement from North Wales Police .
During further action by police in Llandudno two men aged in their 20s and 30s were arrested for failing to appear at local courts.
A Colwyn Bay man in his 30s was arrested for breaching a restraining order and a man in his 20s, also from Colwyn Bay, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and criminal damage.
Sergeant Tecwyn Green at Llandudno Police Station, who coordinated today’s action said: "This is part of the continuing work we are undertaking in response to our communities concerns relating to drug use and other issues across west Conwy.
"This is another example of North Wales Police making a positive impact on our communities through targeting those few who cause the most harm.
"Today’s action is just the start and further is planned. It is vitally important we listen to concerns from our communities and where necessary take proportionate and positive action. It was clear from the local response today’s operation was very well received."
