Two men and a woman were held as part of a disruption operation on the Maesgeirchen estate
Three people were arrested during anti-drug ‘disruption operations’ in Gwynedd.
Undercover cops stopped and searched three people in the Holyhead Road area of the Maesgeirchen estate in Bangor and found they were carrying what were suspected to be drugs.
The two men and a woman were believed to be carrying Class A drugs.
The Bangor man and woman, and another man from Llangefni , all in their 40s, were interviewed and then released on bail.
Inspector Owain Llewellyn said: “Our focus of targeting those few in our communities who cause the most harm will continue.
‘Operation Rattle’ is an on-going investigation targeting those who bring controlled drugs into Gwynedd and Mon from outside north Wales and in line with the forces’ Operation Scorpion is directly targeting those involved in serious and organised crime. We are determined to keep our communities safe.
“Possession and distribution of controlled drugs will not be tolerated in our communities and we will continue to take positive, robust action. However we can’t tackle this problem alone and key to all our work, and that of our partners, is intelligence and I cannot emphasise enough the importance of the community sharing their concerns with us.”
