A man has been arrested after three cars were torched in Wrexham this morning.
Police are holding the man after the vehicles were set alight in Anthony Eden Drive in Caia Park just before 1.30am.
Firefighters were first sent to Caia Park at 1.27am following reports of a vehicle on fire in Gernant.
They found the car had been totally gutted.
Less than 10 minutes later, another call was received of a similar incident at Minafon, where a vehicle’s rear number plate and boot were on fire.
The rest of the car suffered smoke damage.
At 1:46am, firefighters had to tackle another car fire at Glan Gors, where fire damage was caused to the bumper and smoke damage to the interior.
Two fire engines from Wrexham were sent to tackle the fires, which were all started deliberately.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “A man has been arrested after three cars were set alight in the Anthony Eden Drive area of Caia Park, Wrexham around 1.30am today. He is currently in custody at Wrexham police station.”
