A LIVERPOOL man has been warned that he faces a lengthy prison sentence after he admitted conspiring to burgle houses and steal motor vehicles in North Wales.
It follows a number of burglaries in the region where vehicles were stolen from driveways after the ignition keys were taken from inside houses.

Defendant Neil Farthing, 29, of Pennard Avenue in Huyton, was charged with a house burglary at Heol Conwy in Abergele and taking a BMW off the drive, on August 20.

The same night it was alleged that he burgled a house in Rhuddlan Road in Rhyl and stole an Audi car from the drive.

Last month he pleaded not guilty and the court was told that enquiries into further burglaries were on going.

That led to a charge of conspiracy, with others, to burgle and steal vehicles between July 28 and August 21, which he admitted.

Judge Geraint Walters remanded him in custody pending sentence and said custody was inevitable.

Defending barrister Andrew Green said that his client knew that he faced a lengthy prison sentence in view of the offences and his previous convictions which “did him no favours.”
