Emergency services have not revealed the condition of the man who was hurt in the incident. We know that a man was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

Just spoken to the police who tell me that they are putting something together shortly that they will be able to release. Some final details are just being checked.

Store manager turned away from Home Bargains

Our man Marc Waddington is still at the scene and says that the manager of Home Bargains has tried to enter the store but been turned away by police. It is thought that the incident happened in the car park of the store - not inside it - but this has yet to be confirmed.

Police describe it as a "serious incident"

No confirmation from police on exactly what has happened but they described it as a “serious incident” last night.
A statement issued by North Wales Police at 10.20pm said: “Police are investigating following a serious incident in Rhyl this evening (Thursday 27 October) at around 7.37pm. Anyone who was in the area of Home Bargains on Marsh Road, Rhyl between 7pm and 8pm is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101.”
We have asked for more information this morning but are still awaiting information but we should get an update fairly soon fingers crossed.

Large police presence reported after the incident

Eye-witnesses reported a large police presence near Home Bargains following the incident last night.
The car park remains taped off by officers and forensic teams were seen in the area last night.
The dog unit and helicopter were also out.

Man taken to hospital

A man was taken to hospital following the incident last night. His injuries have not been revealed.
A Welsh Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at about 7.30pm on Thursday 27 October to reports of an incident outside Home Bargains on Marsh Road, Rhyl. An emergency ambulance attended the scene and a man was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.”
