Police tackled a man threatening to kill himself when he turned on passers-by in Rhyl this afternoon.
Officers were forced to take action after being called to the scene in the Denbighshire town at 3.40pm following a call from a worried witness fearing the man would harm himself.
On their arrival the man began headbutting a wall several times so viciously he injured himself. As the officers approached he then turned his attention on people nearby becoming increasingly aggressive.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for his bleeding head wounds.
The drama on Vale Road Bridge was revealed in a series of Tweets by North Wales Police earlier this evening.
