Rhyl,North Wales - Murder: Police make fourth arrest after stabbing at Home Bargains car park

Detectives are questioning four people in connection with the killing of Mark Mason

Police have made another arrest in connection with the investigation into the murder of Mark Mason in Rhyl.
The arrest has been made “outside the North Wales” area and brings the total of people held to four.
Mr Mason, who was from Rhyl, died after being stabbed at Home Bargains car park in Marsh Road just before 7.30pm on Thursday (October 27).
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Devonport said: “We know that the vehicle in which Mr Mark Mason was attacked in was a Renault Kangoo, registration X213 HHN.
“The Kangoo was followed along Ffordd Las, Rhyl by a Black BMW X1 car, before being followed into the Home Bargains car park.
“The occupants of this vehicle are responsible for the targeted and planned attack on Mark Mason.”
He added: “We know that there were a few people in the area of Marsh Road and Ffordd Las at the time of the attack and I would like anyone in the area to make contact so we can rule them out of the investigation.
“Whilst we have made arrests, we still require help from the community of Rhyl and the surrounding areas.
“We are keen to gather information around the Black BMW X1, which we know contained a number of males.
“The behaviour of the vehicle and its occupants would have attracted attention before and after the fatal attack on Mark Mason.”
Anybody with information is asked to contact North Wales Police on 101, or via the live web chat, quoting reference number U163736. Alternatively please contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
