A SWANSEA street remains closed this afternoon following a serious incident in the early hours of the morning.
Officers were called Princess Way in the city centre at around 3am following reports of an assault near the Cross Keys pub.
The victim was taken to hospital, and a 23-year-old man arrested - he is currently being questioned at Swansea Central police station.
Police and forensic officers remain at the scene, and the road is likely to stay closed for some time.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "Officers attended Princess Way in Swansea city centre at around 3am on Sunday, November 1.
"A man was taken to Morriston Hospital by ambulance.
"An investigation is continuing and a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently in custody at Swansea Central Police Station.
"The area is currently cordoned off, and anyone with information is asked to call police."
