Police were called to a report that two people had been found unconscious at a house

A woman has died and a man is in a critical condition after they were found unconscious at a house.

The 62-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene at the property in Davies Street in Hengoed, Ystrad Mynach and a man aged 63 was taken to Prince Charles Hospital and is in a critical condition.

Gwent Police were called to a report that two people had been found unconscious around 8am on Wednesday.
