A hunt has been launched for an attacker who tried to bundle a woman into an alleyway during the early hours of Saturday morning.
The 18 year old woman was walking alone through Rhyl when she was grabbed from behind by a man who tried dragging her into an alleyway on Clwyd Street at around 3.40am on Saturday.
According to DS Rebecca Hughes of North Wales Police the woman managed to struggled free before the man made off.
North Wales Police are now trying to identify the man and have launched an appeal for information.
DS Hughes said: “Whilst it is understandable that people will be concerned when they hear about occurrences like this, we would like to reassure the local community that this was an isolated incident.
“We would also take this opportunity as the festive season approaches to remind everybody to follow basic safety advice and keep themselves and friends safe by sticking together as a group.
