Rhyl,North Wales - 53-year-old man arrested after woman assaulted in Rhyl

A 53-year–old man has been arrested in connection with an assault on a woman in Rhyl.

At 5.14am today (Monday, November 9) police were alerted by the Welsh Ambulance Service to an assault and that a woman had sustained injury at a property on St Asaph Street, Rhyl.

Police attended and a man was arrested in the area a short time later.

Detective Inspector Iwan Roberts of St Asaph CID said: “The woman was taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital with injuries which at this time are not believed to be life threatening.”

“The 53-year-old man has been taken to a local custody unit and is currently awaiting questioning.”

There are no further details available at this time.
