A PERSON was hospitalised and property was smashed up after youths ran amok in a town.
A large group of youngsters smashed windows at Mcdonalds in Mold before damaging cars and assaulting a resident on Elm Drive in the town.
Three people were arrested in connection with the incident, with one being released without charge and two others remaining on police bail.
Damage was caused at the McDonalds restaurant at 6pm on Saturday, before the group made their way to Elm Drive and were involved in further anti-social behaviour until around 9pm.
Detective chief inspector Neil Harrison, of North Wales Police, is now appealing for information in connection with the incident.
He said: “We received several calls in relation to anti-social behaviour by this group.
“While there have been reports of anti-social behaviour in the area before, this was a serious escalation.
“Three people have been arrested in connection with the incident; one has been released without charge while two remain on bail.
“I would like to reassure the public that this level of anti-social behaviour in the Mold area is unusual and we have stepped up patrols and have a dedicated team of officers looking into all reports.
“Anyone with information should call North Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting event reference S167267.”
