Mold,North Wales - Object thrown at windscreen of car travelling along A541 near Mold

A CAR had its windscreen damaged when an object was thrown at it.

Police are appealing for information after an unknown object was thrown at the windscreen of a Ford Focus travelling along the A541 Mold Road towards Mold at Llong.

Police say the windscreen did not shatter and nobody was hurt during the incident, which took place at about 9.45pm on Wednesday.

Forensic officers from North Wales Police are now examining the windscreen to establish the object that caused the damage.

DCI Neil Harrison said: “At this time, it would not be appropriate to speculate on what caused this damage or whether it was intentional or accidental.

“However, I would appeal for anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at that location at around 9.45pm or who has any information which may help our investigation to call us on 101 quoting reference S169642.”
