Two men have been arrested following a serious assault in Llanelli last night.

Police in Llanelli are continuing to investigate the incident, which took place at Dillwyn Street, Llanelli sometime between 7.45pm and 8.15pm on Friday.

A 22-year-old man from Llanelli was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Two local males aged, 52 and 30, have been arrested and are currently in police custody.

A spoekswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: "An incident room has been established at Llanelli Police Station.

"Police are appealing for anyone who was in the Dillwyn Street area at the time and who are aware of any disturbances to contact Dyfed Powys Police on 101 or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111."
