The most crime-ridden location in England, Northern Ireland and Wales is Meridian Square outside Stratford tube station in London where an astounding 1,527 crimes have appeared in the same nine month period.
South Wales Police said: "Wind Street attracts thousands of people every week who come to Swansea to enjoy what the city has to. offer. There is a high concentration of licensed premises in a relatively small area of the city centre.

“The figures quoted for Wind Street are an amalgamation of crime and environmental issues such as incidents of rowdy behaviour and begging.

“Ensuring people can enjoy themselves safely is a partnership effort involving police, street pastors, Help Point staff, taxi marshals, and student liaison volunteers, as well as the venue staff themselves.

“The safety and well -being of visitors is our priority as we want Swansea to be a vibrant and safe place to enjoy a night out.”
