The body was found on Sunday
South Wales Police have launched an investigation after a body was found in a river.
Officers received a call at around 1pm on Sunday about the body in the River Ogmore in Aberkenfig, Bridgend.
Police say they are investigating a sudden death.
Formal identification is yet to take place, but the body is believed to be male.
A statement from South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police is investigating a sudden death of a body that was found in the Ogmore River, near Factory Terrace, Aberkenfig, Bridgend at 12.57pm on Sunday 12 March 2017.
"HM Coroner has been informed and enquiries continue to establish the cause of death and formal identification is taking place today."
