Darren Machon
The burglar was left red-faced after his novelty underpants were held up in court and used as evidence against him.
The 39-year-old, from Bridgend , was jailed for 34 months having been arrested for the burglary of a house in Park Street in the town in February.
An arresting police officer noticed his distinctive boxer shorts matched those described by a witness of a burglary earlier that day.
Joel Bruton
The bungling burglar found himself in court after he left a Nike Air Max trainer at the scene of a break-in – and police found the other one at his home.
Jaroslav Gujda
He was sentenced to two years and three months after he tried to steal an off-duty police officer's handbag to fund his journey home following a night out in Cardiff.
Adam Davies
The hapless driver was jailed for 30 weeks after crashing into a car at a red traffic light before crashing into a garden wall just minutes after driving off from a petrol station without paying.
Lewis Drew and Lyndon Inch
The pair tried to use a stolen debit card to buy food but only got away with a 50p cookie after taking the card during a hotel burglary.
Liam Price
He was just two days away from release in prison when he set fire to his cell. The reason? He didn't have a television and was "bored". The result of his boredom? A further two years in jail.
Malcolm Blount
The online pervert was jailed for two years after sending explicit pictures of himself to a “schoolgirl” – not realising it was an undercover policeman.
A court heard that police created the account WelshBeth12 on a chat room site and received messages from Blount hours later.

David Hampson
In one of the stranger crimes of 2016 the 45-year-old from Swansea was jailed for 36 weeks for continually causing traffic jams by standing in front of vehicles then saying nothing to police officers, court officials or prison staff. It was his seventh conviction.
Robert Gethin
The driver was still in his pyjamas when he led police on a high-speed chase around Penarth. When they caught up with him he was twice the drink-drive limit and driving without insurance. He was jailed for 10 months.
Gethin Bishop
An organised crime gang were caught after one of the men, Gethin Bishop, fell asleep in his car on New Year's Eve. When police went to wake him they found drugs worth more than £50,000.
Jack Ullah
The burglar was caught by a wine bottle when police found his DNA on one at the scene of a burglary in Grangetown, Cardiff.
The owner of the house he burgled was asleep on a sofa and gave chase when he woke up and found him.
Michael Evans
The armed robber burst into a house and demanded cash before realising he had got the wrong address.
Two other men involved in the robbery are still at large but Evans was jailed for 63 months at Swansea Crown Court.
Lyndon Linton
The delivery driver regarded by colleagues as the model employee was jailed for stealing nearly 700 parcels worth £36,000.
He sold them to unsuspecting customers on eBay using the account DelBoy2410.
He admitted eight counts of theft from his employer, Hermes, but Recorder Jeremy Jenkins said the extent of his offending was far greater.
Shaun Davies
The dozy burglar was caught by police after he fell asleep in a hammock in his victim's garden.
He admitted burgling three sheds at a property in High Street in Pengam on September 21 while carrying a knife and “off his head” on speed.
John Paul Jones
John Paul Jones was handed an 18-month prison sentence after leading police on a chase which reached speeds of 78mph and lasted seven minutes.
He was only caught when he failed to realise that his car was not going to get through the footpath tunnel underneath a railway bridge and he got wedged in.
