Two males have been arrested
A woman who was jogging in a seaside resort was assaulted by two men on the same morning as a man walking his dog.
Both victims suffered minor injuries and police have since made two arrests.
Police were called to the seaside resort in Conwy early on Saturday after reports that a female jogger had been assaulted by two males.
They were called to the promenade area in Llandudno just after 7am.
'We are content that this was an isolated incident'
North Wales Police said inquires revealed that a 52-year-old man who was walking his dog had also been assaulted at the same time, or shortly afterwards.
Two males from the Cheshire area have since been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody while the investigation continues.
Inspector Gareth Cust said: “The motive for the assault is not believed to be robbery-related and thankfully the injuries were minor in nature. Police inquires continue whilst the males remain in custody.
“We are content that this was an isolated incident in which a swift and effective response was made.”
