A WARNING has been given to residents in Old Colwyn reminding them to stay vigilant after two burglaries in the town.
North Wales Police have said to keep windows and doors locked after both burglaries involved the offender entering the house through insecure doors.
They are now asking for the public’s assistance following two burglaries in homes in the town between January 23 and 26.
Inspector Kelly Isaacs said. “Overnight offences have been reported for two residential properties in the Ddol Du and Llanelian Road areas of Old Colwyn.
"If anyone has any information about these incidents or witnessed any suspicious behaviour or activity on the nights of Monday to Thursday, please contact Police.
“It is worth reminding house holders to be vigilant at all times and if you see any suspicious behaviour contact police immediately.
“I’d like to emphasise the importance of locking doors and windows. Both of these offences involved the offender walking into the premises through insecure doors.
“We are all fortunate to live and work in a low crime area; this has come about through hard work with the local community. We need assistance to help prevent these incidents in the first place, identify who may be responsible and report suspicious activity immediately.”
North Wales Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed events to contact them on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote RC17011396 or RC17011664.
