POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an assault at a Port Talbot pub which the victim with a serious ear injury.
Officers are asking anyone who was in the Bell Inn in Taibach at the time of the incident on the night of December 22 to come forward.
Police say a customer suffered "significant injury" to one of his ears in the assault, which happened in the pub's outdoor area.
A man has been arrested in connection with the assault, and released on bail while the investigation continues.
A spokesman for South Wales Police in Port Talbot said: "Police are appealing for information following an assault which occurred at 10.45pm on December 22 in the Bell Inn, Taibach.

"One male person received a significant injury to his ear – and another male is currently on police bail.
"There were a large number of people in the area at the time who would have witnessed the incident – and police are urging them to come forward.
