Two men with knives targeted K&A Premier Stores on Henllan Street and took cigarettes, a mobile phone and a laptop
Two men armed with knives raided a convenience store in Denbigh last night.
Police officers were called to reports of a robbery at K&A Premier Stores on Henllan Street in the town at 7.32pm yesterday.
Two men threatened staff and made off on foot with cigarettes and a laptop.
No one was harmed and at this stage it is not known if a weapon was used.
North Wales Police have launched an investigation and have asked any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
DI Chis Bell said: "One offender remained outside the location whilst the other entered the store armed with a knife, later leaving the shop with a laptop, mobile phone and a quantity of cigarettes.
"Both males left the scene running to the right of the shop and headed up the hill in the direction of Accar-Y-Forwyn.
"Fortunately nobody was injured during this incident.
"I would like to praise the victims who immediately removed themselves from the danger.
"The store is located in a busy area of the town and the offence occurred during the evening. We believe there were people in the area at the time. I am appealing to anyone who witnessed anything suspicious either before, during or after this incident."
The same shop was robbed by masked men in November last year.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number V010643.
