The Prison Service has branded the behaviour 'unacceptable' and has recovered a mobile phone from inmate Scott Davies

A prison inmate has been posting photos of himself behind bars to a public social media account while writing posts threatening to "cause murder".
Scott Davies from Merthyr Tydfil , who is believed to be serving his sentence at HMP Hewell in Worcestershire, has published nearly 50 posts on Facebook since December 23, 2016.
One picture appears to show Davies in his cell, as he poses in front of a window fitted with metal bars, while others show him in the mirror and with his top off.
The former Merthyr College student also posted a picture with another inmate in the prison, along with the caption: “Just flexing on the wing, know how it is boyz [sic].”
Davies – who describes himself as a “full time legend” on Facebook – also posted an image of a female prison guard on New Year’s Eve with the caption: “F****** screws, f*** off and leave us alone you job worthy b****** like”.
A number of statuses have also been posted on his account, with one even threatening to “cause murder”.

While another said: “Past is the past, on with the future, don’t judge me unless you’ve walked my journey, can’t wait for the near future, soon come, no drama, merthyr style, e-oy.”
A Prison Service spokesman said: "This behaviour is unacceptable. We have recovered a mobile phone from this offender and requested that the social media profile in question is removed. The matter is also being referred to police for investigation.
“We are stepping up measures to find and block mobile phones in prisons and those found with them can face extra time behind bars.”
