POLICE are appealing for help after thieves struck at two Neath churches — stealing paving stones from outside the buildings.
Officers saof they are "keeping an open mind" as to whether the incidents are linked, and they were urging anyone with information to come forward.
The first theft happened at Gorffwysfa Chapel in Skewen between December 21 and the morning of December 23 — around a dozen flagstones were taken from the front of the chapel.
The second theft happened at St Anne's Church in Tonna, between 2pm on Christmas Day and 4pm on December 28 — it is not known how many stones were taken.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw any suspicious activity or vehicles around the churches — or anyone with information about the thefts — to come forward.
