A MAN is in a critical condition following a serious assault in Mold.
North Wales Police are appealing for information after the man sustained serious injuries following an assault in Nant Garmon, Mold last night.
The 46-year-old is described as being in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
Ambulance services were called shortly after 7.30pm and sent a rapid response vehicle and a crew in an emergency ambulance to the scene.
The force confirmed that five people had been arrested in connection with the incident but were released on police bail following interview.
Det Chief Inspector Neil Harrison said: “He sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack and he continues to receive treatment.
“I am appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
“An investigation into the circumstances continues and as a result there will be increased police activity in the Mold area throughout Friday, so the public should not be alarmed to see a number of officers in the area.”
