Blaenau Gwent,South Wales - Extra police on patrol in these Blaenau Gwent trouble hotspots after local residents' 'alarm and distress'

This area of Tredegar and another in Brynmawr will be subject to a dispersal order following anti-social behaviour

Extra police will patrol these Blaenau Gwent trouble hotspots this weekend after reports that "alarm and distress" was being caused to local residents.
The designated area in Tredegar and another in Brynmawr will be subject to a dispersal order starting on Friday afternoon – meaning that if any people acting anti-socially in the areas return after being moved on, they face being arrested.


According to Gwent Police , the designated area of the Tredegar order will include: Commercial Street, Castle Street, Queen Victoria Street, Mount Street, Gelli Road, Upper Coronation Street and Tredegar Shopping Centre.
It will start at 6pm on Friday and be in place for 48 hours, until 6pm on Sunday.

A Dispersal Order has been authorised for the town centre and surrounding streets from 6 o,clock on 13/01 to 6 o'clock on 15/01. .
The Brynmawr designated area will include Lakeside Retail Park, Lakeside Close, Lakeside Way and "Black Path", Nantyglo, Brynmawr.
That order will start at 5pm on Friday and be in place for 48 hours.
Local Inspector Sarah Greening said: "The dispersal orders have been put in place following reports of anti-social behaviour in the area where the actions of a small minority are causing alarm and distress to local residents. Officers will be on regular patrol in the areas affected to enforce the dispersal order and to prevent incidents of anti-social behaviour."
