A man has suffered “severe” burns after catching fire on a petrol station forecourt in the Rhondda .
He is being treated in hospital after the incident in Pentre at about 10.20pm on Saturday evening.
Crews from Treorchy and Tonypandy attended the fire, at the service station in Llewellyn Street. A hosereel and a trauma pack were used.
A spokeswoman for the South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said: “When we arrived the fire was out but we needed to cool him rapidly and then apply emergency medical care before he was transferred to hospital.
“We also helped preserve the scene for police investigation.”
