A businessman has denied the murder of a 25-year-old beautician whose body was found at a property in Usk .
Peter David Morgan, 53, is accused of killing mum-of-one Georgina Symonds from Newport.
Her body was found in a workshop at Beech Hill Farm on January 13.
An inquest hearing into Ms Symonds’ death heard that the provisional cause of death was “ligature pressure to the neck”.
Property developer Morgan, wearing a red polo neck T-shirt with white stripes, appeared atCardiff Crown Court on Friday for a plea and case management hearing.
The defendant spoke to confirm his name and to plead not guilty to the charge of murder.
A trial date has been set for June 27 at Cardiff Crown Court.
Morgan, of Llanellen Court Farm, in Llanellen, Abergavenny , was remanded in custody.
In a statement released via Gwent Police following Ms Symonds' death her mother, Deborah Symonds, said: “I have lost a beautiful daughter, she was the light of my life.
"The family are heartbroken and she will be greatly missed.”
