Police are investigating an alleged sex assault near Cardiff city centre.
South Wales Police confirmed they were called just before 3am this morning to the Sengennydd Road area in Cathays and have said that the victim is a 25-year-old woman.
There was a police presence near the entrance to Cathays train station, near Cardiff University's Students' Union.
Witnesses say there was a large number of police in the area in the early hours and part of the street was cordoned off.
A spokesman for South Wales Police said: " Police enquiries are continuing – a further update will be provided when available."
Two people have been convicted of separate sex attacks in the Cathays area of the city in recent months.
