POLICE investigating a sexual assault in Port Talbot have arrested a teenage man in connection with the incident.
Detectives launched a manhunt on Sunday night after a woman was assaulted after getting into a car outside the town's train station.
The victim — who is in her 40s — was driven to Baglan Industrial Estate where she was attacked on land off Aberavon Road .
Tonight police confirmed a 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
Officers said the investigation is on-going, and appealed for anyone with information about the incident — or anyone who saw a bronze-coloured saloon car being driven around Port Talbot on Sunday night — to come forward.
Meanwhile South Wales Police detective inspector Phil Sparrow thanked the public for their help.
He said: "We understand that this incident has caused a lot of concern in the community, and as a result of our investigations so far a suspect is now in custody.
"I would like to thank the public for their support of our investigation, and for the information they have provided to us."
