A Llandudno man accused of having a taser device disguised to look like a mobile phone is set to face a crown court trial.
Lee James Ainsworth, 22, of Cae Clyd, Craig y Don , appeared before Llandudno Magistrates on Thursday charged with possession of a disguised firearm.
It is alleged he was stopped by police on Mostyn Street, Llandudno, on January 2 with a taser made to look like a mobile phone.
He is additionally charged with affray and possession of two small bags of cannabis.
Wearing a grey t-shirt and grey jogging pants the defendant was told by Magistrate Nick Rushbrooke he would have to appear before Caernarfon Crown Court on June 6 to answer the charges.
He was bailed with the conditions he is not found drunk in a public place and does not approach any potential witnesses in the case.
Ainsworth was late for court and, after a warrant had been issued and rescinded, was fined £40 with a £30 victim surcharge.
