A MAN who attacked a £13,000 "bomb proof" window in a Welsh Government building with a hammer has been ordered to pay compensation — at £5 a week.
In December last year Mark Crollman took exception to noisy renovation work going on at the government centre across the road from his Carmarthen house, and picked up a hammer.

Swansea Crown Court heard the 47-year-old was seen to enter the building site with the weapon held above his head and "launch" it at a 12ft by 10ft window.
He then picked up the hammer from the floor and hit the glass again.
Victoria Thomas, for the prosecution, said Crollman was described as "laughing" while he carried out the attack.
Crollman, of Picton Lane, Carmarthen, had previously pleaded guilty to a charge of criminal damage when he appeared in the dock for sentencing.
The court heard the window was specialist "bomb-proof" glass from Poland, and the cost of replacing the unit — which suffered a scratch in the attack — was some £12,977.50.
Tom Scapens, for Crollman, said the defendant did not cope well with stressful situations and had endured "months and months of disruption" as a result of the renovation work
Recorder Richard Williams sentenced Crollman to six months in prison suspended for 12 months, and ordered him to complete 160 hours of unpaid work.
The recorder said he had to be mindful of the defendant's limited means when making any financial orders, and he ordered Crollman to make a contribution of £2,000 towards the new window to be deducted from his benefits at £10 per fortnight.
