A child was taken to hospital after falling and landing on a heroin addict’s used needle.
The youngster was playing at the Nant y Pandy nature reserve - also known as the Dingle - near Ysgol Corn Hir on Wednesday afternoon when they fell on the drug paraphernalia.
Some parents of pupils at the nearby Ysgol Corn Hir school in Llangefni were sent emails warning them after the incident.
There have been issues with drug paraphernalia in the nature reserve in the past.
In 2013 reports of drug needles scattered on the ground prompted North Wales Police dog handlers target the tourist spot along with additional police officers.
Anti-social drinkers have also been seen at the site in the past.
One mother, who did not wish to be named, said: “There has always been a problem here, something like this was bound to happen.
“Parents have been complaining for years, they want more done.”
Anglesey Council have been approached for comment
