Chris Parry from Wrexham said blanket fining of motorists 'doesn't give a good image of the area'
A driver has criticised a council’s policy of blanket ticketing holidaymakers who visit the area’s beauty spots.
Chris Parry from Wrexham took a photograph of a line of more than a dozen cars with penalty notices attached on the A4086 outside Capel Curig on Saturday.
He said he saw between 30 and 40 cars which had been fined in what he saw as a bad advert for the area.
“It doesn’t give a good image of the area at all,” he said.
“I live in Wrexham and travelled for an hour and 10 minutes to get there, but holidaymakers travelled much further.
“They were just holidaymakers out for a day out and it was absolutely packed.

“We managed to park at Llyn Gwynant but it was chocka.”
Mr Parry said he was told there were signs warning motorists but that he didn’t notice any on the way up the pass.
“I didn’t see any signs,” he said.
“If you see a space on the side of the mountain, you don’t think there’s anything wrong.
“What I wanted to know was where did the woman who was handing the tickets out manage to park?”
