A 43-year-old man has changed his plea and admitted a charge of wounding with intent following a stabbing at Prestatyn on January 4.
Defendant Stephen Mark Prosser, of Lon Brynli, Prestatyn, was accused of wounding 24-year-old Billy Moore, also of Lon Brynli, with intent to cause him grievous bodily harm, and possessing a bladed article, a kitchen knife.
In February he denied both offence and a trial was due to be held in June.
But today via a live television link from Altcourse Prison in Liverpool he changed his pleas and admitted both offences.
Judge Niclas Parry remanded him in custody pending sentence next month and ordered a pre-sentence report which he said should include an assessment of dangerousness.
Mr Moore was taken to the major trauma centre at the University Hospital, Stoke on Trent, with stab injuries.
