The woman screamed and managed to break free before man ran off after late night incident in Wrexham
A woman was grabbed from behind by a man near Wrexham last night.
The young woman was able to scream and break free before the man ran off along Stryt Las in Johnstown, in the direction of Penycae.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Tuesday.
The victim was not physically hurt, but was left badly shaken and distressed by the assault.
The suspect is described as about 5'10" tall, of slim build and was wearing a black hoodie, black jogging bottoms and trainers.
Detective Sergeant Roz Hewitt of North Wales Police said: "This was clearly a distressing incident for the young woman and I am appealing for anyone who may have seen a man behaving suspiciously in the area around the time, or who may have heard the victim scream out, to contact police on 101 quoting reference V001435.
"We have deployed extra patrols in the area to reassure local residents."
