The 22-year-old from the Holywell area admitted neglect after the two children, who were both under five, were spotted by a member of the public
A mother whose young children were spotted alone in a Flintshire park after she went out all night has admitted neglect.
Flintshire magistrates’ court at Mold heard that, after her night out, the 22-year-old from the Holywell area went to bed upon returning home, where she had left her children - both under the age of five - in the care of their grandmother.
The grandmother told her she had to go out that afternoon and woke her daughter up, but the defendant told her to “f**k off”.
The older woman told her when she was leaving, and the children could have been alone for up to two and a half hours, the court heard.
A member of the public contacted police after spotting the children alone in the park, where there was a pool and the nappy of one child was found to be full.
The mother was found at her home by the police.
District Judge Gwyn Jones rebailed the mother pending sentence after she admitted neglecting the children in April of last year.
Arrested and interviewed, the mother accepted what she had done.
The judge ordered a pre-sentence report.
An order was made that the children should not be publicly identified.
