Colwyn Bay,North Wales - Live: Three in court over Old Colwyn murder

One of the men recently lived on Rhiw Road, in Colwyn Bay right next to Kidzzone Day Nursery, in the flats next door!

Dean Joseph Cody, 30, is charged with murdering David James Kingsbury, while Colin David Lyness, 30, and Thomas Charles Revatto, 50, face one charge each of assisting an offender

Police appeal

Anyone who may have been in the Abergele Road and Wellington Road areas of Old Colwyn between 8.30pm and 9pm on Thursday 5 January is asked to call the police on 101 quoting reference V002232.
Alternatively they may contact the webchat or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Tributes continued

Mr Jarvis said he employed Mr Kingsbury mainly as a labourer for about four months until November, although he had known him for several years.
He was a very hard worker, very polite and down-to-earth. He got on with everyone and was good with the customers. It’s an absolute shock.

Tributes paid

Friends of Mr Kingsbury have remembered him as a “happy-go-lucky” man and a hard worker.
Paul Jarvis, Mr Kingsbury’s former employer, described his death as an “absolute shock”.
He said: “It’s very sad. It’s a really big shame.“He was only in his mid-30s. He had the rest of his life ahead of him.”

David James Kingsbury

Mr Kingsbury, 35, died from a single stab wound on Thursday, January 5 at around 9.30pm.
He was found on Wellington Road, Old Colwyn.

Men charged last night

Det Insp Arwyn Jones thanked the public for their help with the case.
He said: We are continuing to appeal to anyone who may have information relating to the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, to come forward.
