A DATE has been set for the trial of a Carmarthenshire man accused of wounding a pharmacist with a knife.
Peter Bellett, of Wern Road, Garnant, is alleged to have caused grievous bodily harm to Michael Irons in an incident at Garnant Pharmacy on December 5 last year.
No charge was put to the 68-year-old during a brief videolink hearing at Swansea Crown Court today, and no plea was entered.
A trial date was set for March 28.
Barrister Dyfed Thomas, for Bellett, said time was needed for medical reports on his client to be prepared.
The defendant was further remanded into custody until the reports are completed.
