A teenager from Rhyl has admitted kidnapping and raping a 62-year-old woman at a beach as she walked her dog.
The victim needed hospital treatment following the attack at Pensarn Beach near Abergeleat the end of August.
Defendant Jack Karl Thomas Williams, 18, appeared in the dock at Mold Crown Court, for a plea hearing this morning.
He hesitated on a number of occasions and then whispered guilty pleas to the charges put to him after his barrister Matthew Curtis spoke to him.
Williams, of Mount Road in Rhyl, pleaded guilty to kidnapping the woman, holding her against her will on the beach, and inflicting grievous bodily harm upon her, with intent.
He also pleaded guilty to three charges of rape, covering different forms of penetrative sex, following the attack on August 27.
Judge Rhys Rowlands remanded him in custody to appear for sentence at Caernarfon Crown Court on Thursday November 10.
The judge said that a detailed pre-sentence report was required.
He told Williams that his guilty pleas were important and would be reflected in sentence in due course.
“But you will appreciate that these are very serious matters,” the judge told him.
He said that a detailed pre-sentence report would be required to look at the question of future risk.
