Isabel Brownson's overturned vehicle had also lost a wheel inquest hears

A pensioner found dead next to her overturned mobility scooter suffered a fatal head injury, an inquest heard.
Isabel Brownson died after falling from the motorised vehicle which had lost a wheel on Church Road, Rhos on Sea on September 23.
The 87-year-old of Llys Abad, Abbey Road, Rhos on Sea was discovered by a member of the public just after 1.30pm.
At the opening of her inquest in Ruthin this afternoon, North East Wales and central coroner, John Gittins said the incident is being investigated by North Wales Police.
Mr Gittins said: “The traffic investigation unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident although it does not appear that there was another vehicle involved. The scooter had also lost a wheel.”
The retired machine operator was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd by ambulance but despite efforts from paramedics, she was pronounced dead.
Mr Gittins added: “It is likely the death occurred at that location rather than in hospital.”
A post-mortem carried out by Dr Mark Atkinson gave a provisional cause of death as “head trauma”.
The coroner listed a final inquest to take place in March next year if the police investigation is concluded by that time.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident reference number U145321.
