Ambulance were called to a crash on the A493 at Friog near Fairbourne but 'there was no patient present'

A suspected car thief crawled out of a stolen car after crashing it and fled the scene... but was arrested 90 minutes later.
The driver smashed the Land Rover into a wall on the A493 near Fairbourne in southGwynedd at roughly 5.15pm yesterday.
The crash left the car on fire and on its side.
By the time the ambulance arrived the man had managed to crawl out of the Land Rover and had fled the scene .
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at about 5.30pm on Wednesday 12 October to reports of a road traffic collision near Fairbourne, Gwynedd.
"An emergency ambulance attended the scene, however there was no patient present."
The fire service were called but the fire was out on arrival.
Following enquiries by North Wales Police, at 7pm a man in Fairbourne, local to the area, was located and arrested by officers.
He performed an alcohol breath test which he failed.
He was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle theft and drink driving, a spokesman for North Wales Police confirmed.
