Ysgol Gynradd Niwbwrch acting head Hayley Jones questioned and released on bail

A primary school headteacher has been quizzed by detectives in relation to money laundering offences.
Hayley Jones was arrested at her home in Ty Croes near Rhosneigr on Sunday and taken to a police station for questioning.
Police have not commented about the exact nature of the offences nor revealed any further details.
North Wales Police spokesman said: “At 9.50am at Ty Croes on Sunday, October 2 a woman in her early 40s was arrested by police and questioned in relation to money laundering offences.
“After questioning the woman was released on bail pending further inquiries by officers.”
Until last Friday Ms Jones was acting head of Ysgol Gynradd Niwbwrch having assumed that role after the previous headteacher was appointed to another post.
Governors at the school, which shares its headteacher with Ysgol Gynradd Dwyran two miles away, have appointed a new headteacher and she took over on Monday, October 3.
Parents said they were shocked to head of Ms Jones’ arrest.
One said: “She’s been here for more than 12 years and has been a fine teacher as far as I’m concerned. I can’t believe she could be involved in anything that may be illegal.”
Another said: “I have always been happy to send my children to the school and be taught by Hayley Jones. I think the school is in shock today.”
